FOR THE USE OF MORTGAGE INTERMEDIARIES & OTHER PROFESSIONALS ONLY

Doing what matters for the planet, and for your clients.

We’re working hard to create new energy efficient mortgage options. It will help support the Government’s mission; to reduce the UK’s carbon footprint and encourage lenders to offer energy efficient finance products.

See more below about how we are helping the environment in other ways.

We offer £250 cashback for properties with an A or B EPC

Our Energy Efficient Product range offers £250 cashback:

  • For Residential Purchases only, paid on completion.
  • Cashback for properties with an EPC rating of A or B (including New Builds with a predicted A or B rating).
  • £250 cashback is in addition to any other cashback (e.g. >85% LTV range).
  • Check the EPC rating on the government website to see how energy-efficient the property is.

Just complete the EPC information at DIP stage, to ensure your client is eligible for the cashback products. Use our helpful filter at product selection to find the Energy Efficient products quicker.

We support new builds and environmentally friendly building methods.

We’re fully committed to supporting the new build sector-both standard builds and new construction methods.

To better serve you and your clients we’ve created a New Build helpdesk team. The helpdesk will be open from 9 until 5 and can be reached by calling your regional contact number or contact us here.

We’re planting thousands of trees to offset house moves.

In August 2020 we launched a new partnership with Eforests, a non-profit organisation which aims to help combat climate change through woodland restoration. The partnership means that for every home move where a TSB mortgage is provided, we’re committed to planting a tree, to help offset the carbon footprint of the house move for the customer.

Over 100,000 trees have been planted. Over its lifetime (typically 100 years) each tree will absorb on average 500 kgs of CO2.

Our BDMs are doing what matters.

We encourage our employees to take part in volunteering. Over the years our BDMs have stepped up to volunteer for their communities with projects ranging from DIY at a hospice to litter picking with local action groups. Our BDMs are spread across the UK and are always looking for ways to support local causes.
