Offer expiry

The offer expiry date is 180* days from the first offer date.

If the customer cannot complete within the offer period, we will allow an extension of up to 4 weeks, if the conveyancer can confirm completion will take place in this timeframe.

An offer extension can only be actioned as soon as the mortgage offer has expired.

For a 28-day extension to be applicable, there can be no amendments, or updates needed to the application details, including product changes. This is also applicable throughout the extension period.

If no confirmation is received on how the case is proceeding within the first 28 days of the offer expiring, this will need to be rekeyed as new business. The 28 days includes the day the offer expired.

New build mortgage offers only

  • New build mortgage offers are valid for 180 days from the first offer date.
  • New build mortgage offers are eligible for an extension of either 28 or 180 days if the property doesn’t complete in time.
  • 28 day extension can be granted in the first instance and then a further 180** days extension (a further 28 days cannot be granted following the extension of 180* days, so application will need to be rekeyed as new business) 
  • 180* day extension granted in the first instance, then a further 28 days can be granted (if the application does not complete following the extension of 28 days, application will need to be rekeyed as new business) 
  • An offer extension can only be actioned as soon as the mortgage offer has expired.
  • To request an extension, please complete the New build offer extension form.
  • If no confirmation is received on how the case is proceeding within the first 28 days of the offer expiring, this will need to be rekeyed as new business. The 28 days includes the day the offer expired.
  • If the case is not proceeding, please confirm using the New build offer extension form and our processing team will cancel the case. (Please be advised that once a case is cancelled, it cannot be reinstated).
